In recent years, the popularity of electric vehicles has become faster and faster. From July 2020, electric vehicles began to go to the countryside. According to the data from China Automobile Association, by the help of the Policy of electric vehicles Going to the Countryside, 397,000pcs, 1,068,000pcs and 2,659,800 pcs of electric vehicles were sold in 2020, 2021, 2022 respectively. The penetration rate of electric vehicles in the rural market continues to rise, however, the slow progress in the construction of charging stations has become one of the bottlenecks in the popularization of electric vehicles. In order to promote the construction of charging stations, relevant policies also need to be continuously improved.
Recently, the National Energy Administration issued the “Guiding Opinions on Strengthening the Construction of electric vehicle Charging Infrastructure”. The document proposes that by 2025, the quantity of my country’s electric vehicle charging stations will reach about 4 million. At the same time, all local governments should formulate a more operable charging facility construction plan according to the actual situation.
In addition, in order to promote the construction of charging stations, many local governments have also introduced relevant policies. For example, the Beijing Municipal Government issued the “Beijing electric vehicle Charging Facilities Construction Management Measures”, which clearly stipulates the construction standards, approval procedures and funding sources of charging stations. The Shanghai Municipal Government has also issued the “Shanghai electric vehicle Charging Infrastructure Construction Management Measures”, encouraging enterprises to participate in the construction of charging stations and providing corresponding subsidies and preferential policies.
In addition, with the continuous advancement of technology, the types of charging stations are also constantly enriched. In addition to traditional AC charging stations and DC charging stations, new charging technologies such as wireless charging and fast charging have also emerged.
In general, the construction of electric vehicle charging stations is constantly advancing and improving in terms of policy and technology. The construction of charging stations is also a key factor that affects consumers’ purchase of electric vehicles and their experience in using them. Completing the shortcomings of the charging infrastructure will help broaden the usage scenarios, and may also become a potential market to release the consumption potential of electric vehicles.
